    Corn, Corn, CORN!!!!
Wow! This is the first time ive ever done a garden and ive bought several kinds of vegetable seeds from different companies but, this pack of seeds has done the best, i bought some miniature greenhouses to start the seeds in and its been a week today and 75% of the seeds have sprouted already. And I’m sure that there is a high possibility that the others will in the next day or two since one of these sprouted during the night. I will be getting my seeds from this company from this point on.

    Good deal
Planted earlier than usual, but all has come up and doing good, hopefully produces some good corn

A+ corn if the seeds germinate
The germination rate was less then expected. I double planted each hole to compensate. The corn is really sweet. I eat it raw and it’s sweet. I just wish all the seeds would sprout.

    Didn’t come up
Bought seed for 2025 season. Kept it in freezer till April 2025. It never came up. Planted it 2 times. My peaches and cream that I planted same time came up fine

    Germinated well
It pretty much all came up. It’s growing pretty well. I can’t complain about that, considering that I’ve bought seeds before that didn’t germinate at all. Never bought seeds from amazon before and didn’t really have high expectations. I’m not going to wait for it to produce to rate it because corn is kind of hit and miss in my soil composition and climate regardless of variety. Hard clay soil which isn’t very nutrient rich and summers which tend to not provide much rain until hurricane season, so like August; The year before last it even stayed dry right up until November (Didn’t hurt my garden too much since I water it but I had some deer plots planted that dried up and died. kind of gave up on setting up permanent deer habitat after that tbh). And aside from the lack of rain, I’ve also got a weed problem that I’ve been fighting. I’m considering moving to raised beds in the future. Improving the native soil is just going to help the weeds grow. The alternative is to maybe cover the garden in plastic for a few years; but I’m like 5 years in on saving seeds at this point and if I miss two years my climate adapted seeds are gonna lose viability…

Good germination! Felt like a ‘corn baroness’ with my tiny crop of 16 plants!
I’m finally growing corn!!!! To get an early start on the growing season, a total of 18 seeds were started indoors in 4”x4” pots set on a heating pad and under grow lights for 10 hours daily. 16 seedlings were later transferred to grow bags when 2 – 3” tall. -Yep, I had two (2) duds. Be warned, they may be slow to germinate, but as growing conditions become more favorable they will grow fast and are heavy feeders. They were transferred to grow bags on February 19th and moved to a kiddie pool (one of those cheap plastic 45” pools) on March 27. The reason for the kiddie pool is for the plants to maintain a consistent moisture level & to keep the corn ant free. Between the kiddie pool and warmer weather, the plants have really taken off.February 11 – Seeds plantedFebruary 19 – Transferred to grow bagsMarch 27 – Moved to kiddie poolApril 27 – First tasselsMay 3 – First earsJune 9 – First ‘harvest’I now have a total of 16 plants with over 19 ears of corn in various growth stages with the smallest at 3” and largest at 10. They were planted using different size grow bags as an experiment. Did you know that each kernel of corn develops only when pollen lands on that silk strand? Learn something every day. I decided to help things along and I hand pollinated a few. -Some of the stalks have put on second ears! On March 24th, two additional seeds were started in the green 3-gallon bag (left side in image) that now has two healthy plants growing. Overall, germination is 99.9%. My seed pack contained 52 seeds with an expiration date of 06/2025 and I still have half a pack of seeds left to plant next year. This year was a test to see if I could, and what interferences I would be dealing with. I was pretty much warned that growing corn in this particular area of 9a would be extremely challenging due to intense sun, heat, high humidity, morning fog, fungus, aphids, bugs & insects, 4-legged scavengers, and maybe even 2-legged ones. Despite all this, the plants are green, healthy looking and are growing vigorously. The proximity to each other may not be my best set up for pollination, but next year will be better. Overall, the seeds have a good germination rate for the price and the harvested ears were sweet. 5 stars!
