Three slits at about soil level evenly spaced
These are sturdy, nice looking barrels. BUT they do have slits at about soil level, three of them, evenly spaced. For overflow perhaps? I have plugged them with black duct tape. We will be have the soil level well above those slits. Sorry I don’t have pictures. For the price and quality, I gave them 4 stars. Without slits, I would have given 5.

They will last a long time outdoor
This plastic barrel is made of plastic. You can tell they are not made of wood. However thatâs exactly why I bought these. These will last forever outdoor. I bought them to plant my dwarf lime and comquot trees. Look like the perfect size for them. There are light weight and made of good quality.

Nice looking but too flimsy
I purchased these to plant blueberry bushes. These pots are too flimsy and thin for that purpose. They also have a couple of issues. There are three slits about an inch wide on the sides of the pots under the top black ring. I don’t understand the purpose of these slits and I think they will eventually cause the sides to crack. I will be covering them with masking tape as someone else did. Lastly, there are 8 drainage holes of a decent size. I am afraid too much water will exit the pot. I might cover some of those holes with masking tape too. The pots are attractive and not too expensive, so I decided to keep them for planting seasonal stuff like vegetables and flowers. If that is what you are purchasing them for, they will do fine. For permanent use like blueberry bushes or small trees, I would look for something of much better quality.
