Great size and functions
It took us forever to find a pergola big enough for our back sliding doors. We have 0 shade in our yard so this is amazing and lets us enjoy our yard in the summers! We get lots of wind storms and this has held up great. We did have to screw it into cement columns so it would be high enough for our windows. My husband also screwed it into our house because of the wind storms but it holds great and so do the shutters for blocking out sun. Havenât lost any yet haha. The curtains are also very nice but would be nicer if they had a weight to them so they donât blow around everywhere or maybe a pull down shade instead.

OK, here’s my honest rating and some helpful tips for this product:1. Delivery. Not good. This ships LTL, in my case it was ABF. Ok, but they deliver with a semi-truck. Not an issue for some/most but there’s no way that was coming up my driveway. I had to drive to the terminal to pick it up, you need a 12′ trailer FYI. Two of the four boxes were damaged, nothing terrible, just a few minor scratches.2. Touch-up paint. Don’t bother asking for it, they claim they cannot ship it. They will reimburse you but good luck finding a match.3. Now onto the build. I assembled this entirely by myself, all in it took about 10.5 hours. I started by assembling the two long sides, mounted one side using an adjustable step ladder to stabilize it. One I got it anchored, I set the second side after measuring per the instructions but also by measuring diagonally to ensure the side were parallel and squared with each other. Then it was simply a matter of placing the (3) crossmembers one a time. They sit into the main beams, so it was very easy to do by myself.4. The louvers are time consuming more than anything, I was able to attach four at time on one end and then climb up my second ladder to secure the other end. These are held by roughly #4 Sheetmetal screws with a phillips head. I wish they were torx or square drive. When screwing in the louvers to the center beam, make yourself a little wooden lever, 1x1x8 long to wedge the louver cam up when driving the screw. You’ll get it when you see it :)5. The instructions a “pretty good”. You sometimes wish the exploded view were a bit more exploded.Overall, the unit is sturdy and well engineered! Best of luck!

Our experience with this pergola began on a slightly off-key note. Upon delivery, we were disheartened to discover that some parts were damaged (unfortunate result of improper shipping handling). However, what followed was a testament to the company’s exceptional commitment to customer satisfaction.With minimal fuss and maximum efficiency, the company stepped in to rectify the situation with a responsive and courteous customer service! Their commitment to ensuring we were satisfied customers transformed our initial disappointment into a delightful surprise.The pergola instantly became a great addition to home, it keeps unwanted guests (insects) at bay, making our outdoor gatherings much more enjoyable. Moreover, the pergola has drastically expanded our outdoor living space. Its elegant design is not just pleasing to the eye, but also incredibly functional, providing just the right amount of shade and comfort.The pergola has essentially extended our home, our outdoor space has become another room where we can entertain guests & enjoy family activities. We had considered building our own sunroom which would have taken days – upon days (building permits & stamped drawings) not to mention actual construction time! The pergola took two of us about 9 hours to construct (one hour of that time was spent unpacking which came in 4 large boxes).An excellent choice for those looking to enhance their outdoor experiences!

The product comes well packaged and the quality of the fit and finish is good. Pretty easy to put together. Just take it easy doing it.One criticism I have is the main fasteners are hex nut and some you are fastening scores of these things, you really need a driver drill. But itâs hard to find a hex drill bit. To put the thing together with an Allen wrench only is crazy. They should Consider some other fastener convention.Overall, itâs a great product and we are enjoying both the 12×16â one and the 12×20 one.
