I Love It
The adjustment feature is great for corners (90 degrees) and property lines (180 degrees), or just to avoid getting something (a tent) wet (3/4 circle). Do pay attention to the other reviewers’ advise about having sufficient water pressure. If you need to connect 2 hoses to reach an area, both of those hoses need to be 3/4 inch diameter to prevent an excessive loss of pressure. Most stores don’t even carry hoses over 5/8 inch. If you need more than one hose, you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and get their “contractor grade” 3/4″ hoses, but their recycled plastic hoses contain lead and they are not for sale in California. We found lead-free 3/4″ hoses (made in the USA!) on Amazon and have been very satisfied with their quality. They are advertised as “non-kink”, which isn’t true–and the customer ratings reflect that. But no hose is really kink-free! These hoses have been very durable and have lasted for over 3 years–so far.Oh, I almost forgot. Those 3/4″ hoses are very heavy, very inflexible and are too much weight and for the aluminum/plastic nipple that hangs from the tripod. Make yourself a 6-10 foot connector of light 5/8″ hose, using a hose-repair kit, and be sure to put a quick-disconnect on the end of the nipple, or the short connector hose. The tripod nipple has a plastic female screw-on connector that I consider to be its “weak link”. Permanently adding a quick-disconnect (regardless of hose size) will, I think, increase the lifetime of the sprinkler. And at its price, that’s very important.

NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION
THE FIRST ORDER TOOK ABOUT 8 DAYS TO ARRIVE AND IT WAS DAMAGED. CAME OUT OF THE BOX BROKEN, WITH THE SPRINKLER HEAD BROKEN OFF FROM THE SHAFT AT THE PLASTIC CONNECTOR. THIS WAS EITHER A DESIGN FLAW OR A ROUGH RIDE FROM THE SUPPLIER OR BOTH. WHEN I CONTACTED THE SUPPLIER, THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE AND EMAIL THE PIX TO THEM, WHICH I DID. TWO WEEKS PASSED AND A REPLACEMENT DID ARRIVE UNDAMAGED AND INTACT.ONLY ONE PROBLEM……….. THE SPRINKLER WORKS ONLY WITH 60 PSI OF WATER PRESSURE OR MORE. FOR FOLKS ON A WELL OR LOW WATER PRESSURE, THIS IS A NO-GO. EVEN WITH ADEQUATE PRESSURE, TURN ON SOMETHING INSIDE OF THE HOUSE AND THE SPRINKLER STOPS WORKING. THIS INFORMATION IS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PACKAGE BUT NOT IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ONLINE WHERE IT SHOULD BE. ALSO, THERE IS NO INSTRUCTION BOOKLET OR SHEET INCLUDED IN THE BOX. THE ONLY GUARANTEE IS PRODUCT REPLACEMENT, NOT A REFUND. SO RATHER THAN GO THRU THE HASSLE OF SENDING THE THING BACK, I WILL RUN IT ONLY WHEN I AM SURE NO WATER IS BEING DRAWN ANYWHERE ELSE.CONCLUSION- THE PART THAT BROKE IS MADE OF THIN PLASTIC AND IS AN OBVIOUS DESIGN PROBLEM. IT SHOULD BE MADE OUT OF BRASS. WHEN THAT PART BREAKS, IT RENDERS THE SPRINKLER USELESS. THE WHOLE THING IS MADE IN CHINA. (SUPRISE!!) THE ENTIRE BUYNG EXPERIENCE WAS A ONE STAR DEAL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SPENDING THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY ON A CHEAPLY MADE PRODUCT. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE AMAZON REQUIRE SELLERS TO LABEL THEIR PRODUCTS WITH COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OR MADE IN THE U.S.A. SO THE CUSTOMER WOULD KNOW WHERE IT WAS MANUFACTURED.

This is a great product!
This is a great product!! We live near Smokey Mtns. and my wife made me buy this after the fires in nearby Gatlinburg. It seems my Bride of 20 years is a pretty smart cookie, and comes from pretty sturdy stock in the forest fire-prone Pacific Northwest. Her family lived in the country, father was a select cut logging professional, and fire prevention was a really big deal. They would build cradles for sprinklers very similar to this, mount them on their roofs (a lot of people had cedar shake roofs), and attach a “drop hose” that simply remained attached at all times. In the event of a forest fire, you just hooked up your garden hose between the faucet and the drop hose, and it would prevent fire from having your home for fuel!! We bought this, and it works wonderfully, and if it had a 4th leg, it would be perfect for both purposes. The public needs to learn from my wife’s brilliance and experience! This is heavy duty, strong and sturdy, and we have had no problem at all. Works like a pro!

Works well for me and my water pressure.
Sprinkler works well for me with no tipping. I am usually able to press the spikes into the ground but if it’s too hard, I run the water on the ground at the feet for a minute and can then push spikes down. Goes a great distance, much farther than my adjustable Gilmour impulse sprinkler. The head of the sprinkler feels of good quality but the tripod is very light weight aluminum. I’m sure the legs would bend if not handled with care. The worst of the quality lies at the plastic hood that the legs attach to. The legs are attached to this plastic with small rivets. There is absolutely no resistance when folding the tripod legs in or out. When holding the sprinkler up in the air, the legs literally freely swing in and out and feel like they’re about to fall off. The other issue for me is that most of the water is delivered both close to the sprinkler and at the far end of the stream. There is a band in the middle that gets very little water. I may be able to resolve this or at least minimize it with the screw that screws in toward the stream to make stream “break up” more. I don’t know what my water pressure is, but it drives the sprinkler head very well. When set to a limited travel, the head goes fast in one direction and when it hits the trigger to return it, the head travels much more slowly. I like this because it allows more water to be delivered at a time. Kind of hard to explain. I bought it as an open box buy at a discount and would buy it again at this discount but I don’t think I’d pay full price for it.

Using in a riding arena, very happy, covers a wide area and gets the job done much faster! Easy to set various patterns for watering.

Good sprinkler. Requires as much pressure as possible, over 40psi since it has a larger orifice for delivering larger amounts of water over longer distances than most sprinklers. Plastic cap where the three legs are attached looks weak and vulnerable. Easy to adjust and regulate…instructions not included and are not needed if one has ever used a pulsating sprinkler before.
