Our story
How we got our start Our founder, Danny, spent summers as a cabana boy in Laguna Beach. Years later, he noticed you had to pay a premium to get high quality towels. So he founded Laguna Beach Textile Co. with the mission of bringing classic California style and premium, resort-quality to every home and beach. What makes our product unique Each piece in the collection is hand-picked and sourced from around the world—from Turkey to Pakistan to Mexico. We don’t necessarily look for the fastest, cheapest, or even trendiest of manufacturers, we look for the best quality. Why we love what we do We’re a team of 5 based remotely across the country and we work directly with our manufacturers. Both attractive and high quality
I first bought two of these towels for myself and for my wife several years ago. Those towels from my initial purchase are still our primary go-to towels when visiting a pool or the beach. They look nearly as good as the day they were delivered. When visiting the beach for a week, though, it is nice to have several towels, so I decided to purchase another. I did not even need to consider a different brand. I immediately searched for the Laguna Beach Textile Co. towels. I know that these are very expensive, but you truly get what you pay for. These towels are supple, soft, very absorbent, and well-made. They hold up well after many years of continued use and still look great. The colors are still vibrant and there has been no bleeding of the bold colors into the white stripes. I know that there are plenty of towels that are half or a third this price. But I’d rather buy a towel and know that it is well made and stylish. I highly recommend these towels.

Really high quality cotton towels
I bought the beach towels two years ago. For a trip to the beach. It irks me to know that I’m probably going to be buying garbage – the days when towels wore a 100-year brand, like Wamsutta, are long gone. My Wamsutta towels aren’t gone, mind you; some are still going strong 25 years later. But where do you find quality like that nowadays? The kind of quality where, two years later, you think to yourself, “I should really let towel buyers know that this is where it is?”Right here, friends.Did these towels pill, scuff, give off fluff, shrink, wrinkle at the seams, expose abrasive fishing line, or lose their elegant high terry nap? They did not.Did the colors fade, edges fray, develop holes, thin spots, snag on nails or car doors or little boys’ fingernails? They did not.Do my kids, including the extra-sensory-sensitive autistic one, object to being wrapped in these towels after a quick dip or a hot shower? They do not, and in fact these are the only towels my autistic kid will let himself be wrapped in. Probably because they’re soft, absorbant, warm, breathable, and just altogether pleasant. Kid may not talk, but he knows quality.These towels are so good. I hope you buy some and enjoy them as I have.

The best I’ve ever had
I have 5 of these in different colors/patterns. I’m 6′ 2″ and these are a great size and actually dry me off! They get used a lot so they’ve been washed and dried (on medium heat) A LOT and still look new. Will be getting more!

Good feel, color, design and weight. The price is too high for a single towel. If you have a Costco/Sams membership, you can find some 3/4 as good for 1/4 the price. Wont buy another but will cherish and guard this very expensive towel…

These are great, ordered in 3 colors. Luxurious feel, contemporary pattern, beautifully made. Some reviews mentioned how thick and heavy they are so I was a bit worried about that, but imo they’re just right – not flimsy but not TOO thick. Perfect. I will be getting more!

As I’ve a holiday booked to sunny Majorca, and I was in need of a new sun lounger/beach towel (the ones we have have lasted us a great many years and served us well over many trips), I thought I’d splash out and treat myself to something a little special.I could’ve gone to Tesco’s and picked up a bath sheet for a tenner (and those are pretty good), but their single colour and ribbed edge give them away as being for the bathroom, rather than idly soaking up the sun – and the towels they mark as ‘beach towels’ are those horrible microfibre things that feel like thin sheets of plastic and do nothing to actually absorb water.I wanted something soft, fluffy, large, and styled like you imagine a classic beach towel to be styled like. No great big patterned prints, or funny logos or a picture of Captain America punching a Minion stamped on it. Just the kind of towel you imagine Hollywood actors lying on whilst sipping a cocktail from half a coconut whilst crystal clear waters lap at the white sands around them. Something understated, but stylish. Something you can tell by looking at is offering a nice bit of padding to that hard deckchair. And something you know will actually dry you down when you return from the pool.With all that in mind I found this.Yes, at nearly £20 (at the time of purchase), it’s not the cheapest towel going, but I wasn’t after cheap, I was after something that would tick all those boxes I laid out. This towel does that. It comes nicely packaged, with some awesome little tags on – I know that it’s just packaging, and will end up in the recycling, but it’s a nice touch instead of getting the towel loose or wrapped in what’s essentially a bin bag.It’s big. Nicely oversized from a regular towel, but not so large it’s going to be hard to fold away.It’s soft. It is a quality towel, nice and thick, fluffy, and absorbent.It looks the part. The colours are gorgeous – sharp white, navy blue and a single seafoam brown colour – all in nice straight stripes.I’ve given it one trial run at the local swimming baths, and run it through the wash, and it’s not shown any immediate signs of wear for that – the true test is going to be how well it fairs on holiday, but for now I can’t fault it, and I’m genuinely glad I made this purchase.
