Poorly built, poor instructions.
I received this Ptoug pillar light with the intention of mounting it on one of my two gate posts and then, if I liked it, buying a second one. I will be donating this one to charity.First, it came with one of the nuts (see first pic) loose in the box, and the others were about to fall off. These are not part of the installation process and should have been built at the factory with lock washers or another means of keeping them in-place. I then reattached the nut and tightened all four, but not very tight. In the second photo, you can see why they did not tighten them properly, tightening the nuts dimpled the top surface, and now it looks ugly and water will form a pool on top. -1 starNext, the wires colors don’t really match the sticker on the wires telling you how to connect them, but I could have worked around this, as the critical one (ground) is two colors on both the sticker and wire. The instructions were not very helpful there, and they were thrown together poorly. -1 starLast, and most important is that I expected the lighted areas around the light to be glass or white or something tasteful, but instead it is just all brown. You will notice the pictures in the ad do not show it powered off. I think it is very important to look good both in the night and in the daytime, and this does not. -1 starI did not install this, as I do not want this on my post. For almost $80, I expect much better.

Great dark sky lights that add the perfect touch of light to our backyard.
So beautiful and they are dark sky compatible meaning that you wont project the light out and up to the sky to block the stars.We live up in the mountains where we have a dark sky requirement for all our outdoor lighting. This means that any outdoor light can only cast down and not out and up. These were the perfect post lights for us.The brightness casts the right ambiance on the deck, but does not overpower the area.These were easy to install and the all metal build will mean they will take our winters and our summer UV with ease.Love them!

Beautiful chunky light but hardwired
It’s my error because I had just ordered a similar light that is solar, so I assumed this one was also solar with an option of hardwiring. It’s not. LOL. But it’s a fantastic light from what I can tell prior to wiring it in. It is weighty, so it’s going to stay in place once affixed to a surface and it looks really classy. This is an absolute elegant light and conveys a message of luxury. The materials are a great quality and I expect this light will last a really long time.

Very cool and was super excited about this but for some reason I thought it was solar powered, but it has to be hardwired, no big deal, still very nice and could be useful
