Perfect Gardening Starter Set
This has everything needed to start your gardening journey. There’s a nice bag with exterior pockets to hold your tools, and the roomy inside main pocket is large enough to hold a few empty pots or a small bag of soil or anything you want to tote around. The tools feel strong and well made, and the clippers are sharp. The little spray bottle is a bit tiny for my needs, but the gardening gloves feel good and protect my nails.

tools strong enough for new soil in pots
This set is okay if you will be transplanting seedlings into new potting soil. I took this set with me to volunteer to help cleanup a native plant demonstration garden in Florida. Our “soil” is mostly sand yet these tools had difficulty getting through to weed, yes there were some plant roots but not tree roots, mostly roots of vines and grasses and it was still tough to get all but the weeder through. The trowel or soil scoop couldn’t handle making a hole for the new plants. So unless you’re dealing with new bags of potting soil, you would need stronger tools. The kneepad did come in handy. The pruners are good for soft stem flowers, but don’t think they would last very long if you were trying to prune even a shrub. The green color makes these difficult to find if you’re in a garden compared to many other bright colors that would be much easier to find when put down among the plants. I like the bag but also find there would be easier ways to have it hold the tools that are more specific to each tool in the pack and a material that dirt could be rinsed off would be better for gardeners.. It’s a nice idea but the quality isn’t sufficient for anything above a brand new gardener.
