Beautiful umbrella, sturdy base and Amazing Customer Service!
The umbrella looks beautiful in my outdoor space! Since the area is long and narrow, I needed a rectangular umbrella to fit the space. That being said, Purple Leaf customer service has been outstanding to work with! Though I ordered the umbrella and matching base through Amazon, I reached out to them through their website with a few questions prior to and after placing the order. They have been extremely responsive to my inquiries, and were faithful to follow up to make sure the umbrella and base arrived safely. They also touched base to see if I needed any assistance prior to or after it was assembled, as well as some tips for making the assembly process much easier. It’s hard to find a company that takes such pride in their products and offers such exceptional customer service to match!

Exactly what we wanted
This does exactly what we need it for which is shade our patio from the afternoon setting sun. The umbrella can be adjusted in three different axes. The pole swivels 360 degrees, the umbrella arm can be raised to different angles, and once up the umbrella can be rotated around the arm. We had the umbrella installed by our landscaper who embedded the included cross base in concrete so no need for a separate base.The only issue was a damaged pole (the one that attached to the base). I really don’t know if it came damaged or was damaged by the landscaper (I was away) but Purple Leaf promptly sent us a replacement at no charge (went directly to Purple Leaf via email and was promptly answered by Kate of their support department). But now that it’s up, we love it.

Do not leave open and unattended on a windy day
In my original review I was upset when I let my open umbrella unattended to come back and find it in my uncompleted pool because the wind had picked it up like a kite. I have the 10×10 solar powered LED tilting and 360 swiveling cantilever umbrella and I also bought the Purple Leaf base which at the time I had only filled with water which was obviously not enough weight to keep it grounded. I have since filled the base with a mixture of sand and water making it heavy enough to do it job. I also built a rolling platform for it making it mobile especially since my back yard is not finished and I’m not sure where its permanent home is going to be. If I have one regret about buying this umbrella its that I did not dish out the money for the double top which can make it more stable against windy conditions, but I also expected to have a screen enclosure by now as well, but that’s another story. Unfortunately, I again left my umbrella open and unattended and heard a boom to run outside and find it partially flipped inside out with one of the ribs bent and on the verge of breaking. I reached out to Purple Leaf via Amazon asking if there was anyway to obtain a replacement rib as I was already trying to invent a way to repair the damage with a aluminum splint. Becky immediately responded and I sent pics so they could survey the damage and was told that same day a replacement rib was on it’s way via FedEx. A couple of days later I received the part and was able to undo some screw and carefully replace the damaged rib that included the LED lighting. My umbrella is back to almost as good as new apart from a couple of tears and some undone stitching after the beating it took from a freak wind storm that lasted all of 5 minutes. I t is so rare to find outstanding customer service and people that stand behind their products in this day an age, but I am very grateful for Purple Leaf and also will add that in the process of replacing the rib I see why the this product might seem pricier than their competition, its because the workmanship is top notch and their products are definitely worth their value.
